Sunil Madan is a senior physician executive, board advisor and leadership coach with over 22 years of extensive experience in healthcare leadership, quality and patient safety, hospital and medical group management, digital health and value-based care. Dedicated to patient-centered care and continuous improvement, Madan strives to lead transformation in the healthcare industry, pioneering positive change and innovation while delivering measurable outcomes, greater value and reduction in total cost of care.

After helping lead a merger with Anne Arundel Health system to form Luminis Health, he currently serves as its chief medical officer. Madan oversees clinical operations and strategy and leads initiatives in quality improvement, patient safety, care management, value-based programs, medical affairs and community health. His achievements include co-leading system clinical integration, launching aligned professional services and helping implement service line and shared services structures, leading to substantial expense reduction and operational efficiencies.

His diverse educational background, which includes bachelor’s degrees in biology and chemistry, an MD from the University of Missouri – Kansas City, and MBA from the University of Tennessee Knoxville, underscores his unique blend of clinical expertise and strategic business acumen.
