Barry Gilmore

Barry Gilmore is a pediatric emergency medicine physician with over 25 years of clinical experience. He served as chief of emergency services for 14 years and as chief medical officer for six years for a national ranked children’s hospital and is a professor of pediatrics (non-tenured). He has served on or chaired a number of system and statewide committees focusing on improving pediatric emergent care. His focus has been on quality improvement and patient safety, operational efficiency, medical staff issues and leadership development.

Gilmore received his MD from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and subspeciality training at the University of Alabama Birmingham. He also holds a Master of Clinical Social Work and an MBA from UT.
